I started playing ice hockey in 2001, when I was 25, after discovering the NYC Gay Hockey Association on a random google search. Despite no prior playing (and very little skating) experience, I quickly fell in love with the sport. Over the years, I've played on several LGBT and straight hockey teams in New York, and then from 2007-2012 in the SF Bay Area (SF Earthquakes, Oakland Goal Diggers). I joined the MGHA in 2012 when my husband and I moved to Madison, and I have played every season since then, including captaining the Green Gay Puckers (13-14), the Hu$tlers (14-15), and Skate, Forrest, Skate! (15-16). Away from hockey, I'm a proud dad, jazz pianist, composer, and music professor at UW.Madison Gay Hockey Association
