Registration Now Open for the MGHA Classic

The Madison Gay Hockey Association's Tournament Committee is pleased to announce the opening of registration for the 2010 MGHA Classic Gay Hockey Tournament.

The tournament will be held Friday, April 30th through Sunday, May 2nd at Capitol Ice Arena in Middleton. We will be utilizing their two rinks, offering teams a minimum of three games. There are to be two divisions, recreational and competitive. The recreational games are expected to be similar to our house league (MGHA regular season), while the competitive games will be at or above the level of the games we have played against Chicago and the Twin Cities in the past.

This tournament presents an opportunity to experience a gay hockey tournament without all of the expenses of traveling to New York, Denver, Toronto, etc.

The registration fee is $65, which includes a jersey and the reception on Saturday, May 1st at the Brass Ring. Teams from all over the United States, Canada, and Europe have been invited, and there is excitement over the addition of a Midwestern gay hockey tournament. This is a great opportunity to meet and play with and against players from other organizations from all over as well as experience non-house league play.
